One afternoon, Drew and his dad went back to John Eagle Honda - unbeknownst to me. You know that saying that it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission? Yeah, that was Drew. He came home with an SUV and called it my push present in an effort to appeal to my good side.
Long story short, I am now a full-out mom. The transformation is complete - I've been upgraded.
God, that thing is a monster. It makes my Accord look teeny!
It will go well with my Assault Stroller.
Now I have a giant SUV, a giant dog and a baby. I'm such a cliche.
If anyone calls me a soccer mom, they're getting a kick in the shins.
Thank God it's not a mini-van! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha @ Kristin - I was just about to saw. Actually now you look like the soccer moms in my area lol (the modern day soccer moms who drive SUV's) :-)...Is that better? hehe

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing with a mini van. THAT'S when you get the "soccer mom" comments. I told my friends and family LONG ago, I don't care how many kids I have, I will NEVER own an mini van. NEVER. :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband has the small SUV and I drive the car but I have my eyes on one in particular...now I just gotta convince him I need it. :)
Enjoy the new car. Space is always nice to have. Wait until she starts actually needing toys and such, then you'll really appreciate the space.
Hey I have that car. ;) With Ava we had to drive Adam's Toyota Carolla because there was NO WAY that a car seat would fit in my Subaru Impreza! In June, knowing we were going to try for #2 we knew the Subaru had to go. So I traded it in and got a SUPER HUGE shiny black Honda Pilot.
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!! I agree with Rania. Once she turns around and is needing toys etc, you'll really love the space (and especially if you guys have more children).
Does it have the built in dvd player? Ava LOVES being able to watch Elmo's world in the car.
Woah! You should see us with our teeny tiny VW golf with 3 car seats in the back seat. It's a miracle but we all fit. I will be so sad to get rid of our beloved Golf when we have another kid.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! Lemme Lemme upgradeeeeeeee ya! lol
ReplyDeleteSorry it was playing in my head.. had to type it!
YAY Mama Desiree!

You're totally not a suburban mom! :) A suburban mom would have picked a mini-van. Not you. So much cooler! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the photo addition to the blog BTW!

ReplyDeleteahem...soccer mom lol
ReplyDeleteSorry I calls it how i sees it lol
I'm the strange one of the bunch, I know it, no one has to tell me because I want my next car to be a mini van! I loveeee mini vans. Don't ask me why because I really don't know lol.
ReplyDeleteI love your new suv tho. I'm enjoying being car note free right now so there is not upgade in sight. But when I do, it'll probably be a mini van lol

ReplyDeleteCOMPLETE! How exciting :) Looks like a safe/big choice.
ReplyDeleteI had never heard the quote "it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission?" That's so true, I might have to remember that..
That is roomy enough for the new family and is super cute, you were a good pusher you deserve it. Enjoy!
