House tour from Desiree on Vimeo.
My husband is so weird.
This was my first time doing this and I have much respect for the pros because it's actually harder than it looks. Towards the end, the baby started bustin up and got me all distracted. At any rate, it was a fun little way to take up some time during the day. If you can't watch the video, here are some pictures for ya.
This is how we had it before, standing at the front door
Old sofa placement
Sunroom when it was Drew's office
Sunroom when it was my sewing room
Dining room
Nursery
hall bath
Old sitting room - I liked it so much better this way.
Dumb real estate agents.
our bedroom - the pack n play is packed because
my baby sleeps in her crib now. *sniff*
kitchen - more detail here
breakfast nook with my weird husband
It's my most favorite room in the house
We spend the majority of our time here
The backyard just after it was landscaped last year.
It still looks good but not quite *this* good but I
couldn't find any recent pictures.
That's our little house!
I LOVE it! I had seen the pictures of course, but having a video tour helps understand the flow so much better. I love all of the character your house has with the built-ins and beautiful doors, knobs, etc. Love it!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your house!! And I think we have the same doors! Glass knob handles (except ours have no locks on them) and the white doors with the glass squares in them!
ReplyDeletethe nursery is still mu favorite room. i love the colors and the chandelier.

ReplyDeleteLove your house! you have such great decorating style :)
ReplyDeleteYou guys have an awesome looking home.
ReplyDeleteI just looked at the pictures and am in love with just about everything--but your table in particular? Is it made out of a reclaimed door? (We're looking for a big table--probably something like a refectory table--but so far everything we like is $4k+.)
ReplyDeleteYup, it was a Spanish door. Got it off Craigslist. It was not cheap but way less than 4k. Yikes!
ReplyDeletePlease excuse the brevity, sent from my phone.

ReplyDeleteYou better! Let's get together again soon!
ReplyDeleteawesome! i love the flow of your home! i have a son who is a little over two months and he is like a boy version on your little as far as looks and skin color. i'm mixed with black and white and my husband is white and Spanish. when she started fussing my sons look on his face was "what's wrong with her??"
ReplyDeleteoh also i have the same "office" as you lol. Laptop on a TV tray in the living room.
ReplyDeleteI office in my bed as well. :-)
ReplyDeleteI found a diy for making those tables out of doors online a while ago after seeing my friend's repurposed door/table. All he did was place a door on top of his existing dining table but you couldn't tell at all. You can do it "more polished" for a lot less than you'd pay retail. http://www.designsponge.com/2008/01/diy-project-dining-table.html
ReplyDeleteI'm planning to do this but just gotta find the perfect door first:)
We will! I'll text you! Want to do something before school starts next week if possible.
ReplyDeleteDrew!! you so crazy. Love your home and sounded like Sofia was working a pacifier like Maggie Simpson.
ReplyDeleteI love your house, and the nursery looks amazing. I love the bright green curtains. I'm sorry I have not been commenting. I'm reading your posts just busy and not in the mood to comment (you know how it is when you get in a funk). I have a new email too, but it is still me.
ReplyDeleteNo worries! I know exactly what you mean!
