My girls, my girls, MY GIRLS

Talkin' bout.....

That's right y'all, I am gestating a girl-child!  Do you have any idea what this MEANS?!?!? DO YOU?!?!

Why, I'm glad you asked, because THIS is what it means...

It means photoshoots, obviously.

I've known since the second ultrasound (I go by heartbeats.  Of everyone I've ever known, the heartbeat has been right in predicting sex) that it was going to be a girl and to have it confirmed just means that I can officially go crazy planning for MY GIRLS.  I've had these pictures for a while now and I'm so flippin happy that I finally get to share them!  But if you will notice, there is a shortage of brown sisters on Google Images.  I went looking and couldn't find any for this post, and I single-handedly plan to remedy that little situation.

Although I did find this and I died from the cuteness.

But there were no brown baby sisters, so I'm going to have to fix that.  I fully plan to inundate the internet with pictures of my adorable brown baby girls (!!!!!!) because I'm about to have two daughters!  Sofia is going to have a sister!  From birth, like you're supposed to! (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

Sofia really doesn't get it yet, but I'm hoping and praying that they will love each other and be friends and not fight too much.  And holy balls, I am nervous about having two kids but that'll be for another post.  This one is pure celebration and girly squealing because I'm going to have two daughters!!

Sisters!!

  4. Oh goodness!!! That will be SO FUN! How fast was the heartbeat - and Sophia's (if you remember)? Our little guys was 170's in our first ultrasound than quickly dropped to the 140-150 range. Our only ultrasound this time was in the 170's again. I would LOVE a little girl (obviously) although I'm already convinced we're having a boy. I'm impressed that they could confirm it this early on!!!

    CONGRATS!!!

  5. I am SOOOO excited for you!! SISTERS!! ...and maybe a little bit jealous. :)

PS - Stella's heartbeat started in the 160s and ended in the 130s by the end of pregnancy. The midwife said it's b/c when they're younger they're in "flight or fight" in the womb and then it settles, plus if you're dehydrated, the heartbeat is higher b/c of the extra work the body is doing to move the blood. Also, now that I'm pregnant with a boy, his heartbeat has been 150s-160s so far. No tell-tale signs for me!

  6. That is so exciting! My daughter is Sofia's age and we're thinking about #2 and while ultimately I don't care which sex, I really think it would be cool to have another little girl. !

  14. Awwwww, how did you find out so early?? I found out at 11 weeks from a blood test (2011) and at the time everyone was like "Whoa, they do that?!?!?!" I guess its normal to find out early now. But CONGRATS!! And of course you're going to hear "So when are you going to try for that boy??!?" The cuteness is going to be unbearable. :-)

  20. So freaking awesome please accept my virtual high five, fist bump, hug, pat on the back, and two snaps in a circle formation. Congrats on baby girl number two who will be just as awesome and loved as Sofia. They will love having each other, they will fight, yell and scream at each other at times but that is just a part of what sisters do. They will also play together, be friends, dream together and love being sisters because that is ultimately what sisters do. Again here's a huge old virtual hug, now lets get her here safely.

  21. Love all those picture ideas! I can't wait to see yours :)

Inga is so, so sweet with Ivy. She says all the time, "Oh Ivy is so cute!" and "Oh, I know, I know, it's okay." (which is what I say when she's fussy) and a million other things that I say to Ivy, all in her high-pitched voice. She has Ivy snuggle her to sleep every night. She loves to help put dirty diapers in the diaper pail. She gets super duper excited every.single.time she sees Ivy. Anyway, you have lots to look forward to.

When you leave me a comment, my phone chimes. I run to it from across the house, anxious to read what you've said. I save them in my email and read them multiple times a day, which is why you may not get an immediate response but I promise I eventually respond to every comment that has an email address.

You make me smile - I just thought you should know.
